1. Out of this World Our Solar System Nursery Spring 2- Week 2
In the role play the children will be using their imagination to blast off into space in their rocket ship. They will be listening to each others ideas. In the creative area the children will be making a card for someone special. They will also be using the junk modeling to make a space craft.

In PE the children will learn how to accurately roll, kick and throw a ball to their partner. They will also practice catching a ball .
. We will continue with our Dough Gym this week, this is where the children do different exercises to music to strengthen their fine motor and gross motor movements. The children will use their fine motor skills to thread pipe cleaners through the holes on a colander.
Phonics
Some children will carry on with Phase 1. This week they will be blending and segmenting CVC. words. Some children will be gin to learn their letter sounds, this week starting with ‘a’

In SEAL we will be starting a new topic – Good to be Me. The theme is about understanding our feelings as well as considering our strengths and weaknesses as learners. It aims to develop knowledge, understanding and skills in three key social and emotional aspects of learning: self-awareness, managing feelings and empathy.
The children will be finding out about our solar system and helping to label the parts of a rocket listening to the initial sound of the words.
Some children will be learning how they can represent numbers by making marks on paper or drawing pictures and some children will be learning all about Eric Eight in Ten Town.

Dear Parents,
We are holding our Parents Activity Sessions the week beginning 12th March. You are invited to come in and spend time with your child in nursery. You will have the chance to see what your child does at nursery, join in with any of the activities that are out, look through their Learning Journey and have an informal chat with your child’s key worker.
A list of times for each session will be up on the nursery door today, please sign your name or your child’s name on the session you would like to attend.
