Lesson Plan: Mewong Scenario ConOps
LEARNING OBJECTIVES: By the end of the session, participants will be able to: Calculate the tonnage to be transported Develop a Concept of Operations Present the findings of the calculations and Concept of Operations Structure Timing Activities Introduction 5 minutes Explain lesson objectives Exercise: Overview Explain the exercise, where participants in groups are part of a logistics team dealing with shelter and food for a 3 month intervention Exercise: ConOps 170 minutes In groups, calculate the tonnage to be transported, prepare a concept of operations and prepare a presentation of the findings Exercise: Debrief 85 minutes Each group will present their tasks, provide rational for why the developed their plan the way they did and answer questions from other groups. The facilitator should explain that no one right answer exists but it is about the process and justification as to how each group developed their plans.
