First we must take care of ourselves. There are resources available through your Pastor/Spiritual Advisor, insurance carrier, Agency, local gyms, parks, family/friends; If you commit to a task do your best to complete it or step down as respectfully as possible to ensure the task is completed; Your involvement in NOBLE is a great start. Continue to work on or join a Committee within your local NOBLE Chapter, or come out and support the NOBLE events. Share the work you are doing on Social Media, the NOBLE website, your Chapter website; Stay engaged with the community through such NOBLE Programs as The Law and Your Community, Take Twenty-Five, Mentoring, working with the Collegiate Chapter,

Our NOBLE Elections take place Tuesday, July 31, 2018 between 0730 hours and 1100 hours, the the morning following Host City Night. There are several identified Candidates and Candidates who may run ”From the Floor”; There were at last count 149 Associate Members who registered for this Conference, that’s a statement! We must continue to strive to make a bigger statement each year as there are currently approximately 694 (National purging list/new members to register) The Associate Member VOTE MATTERS!; Attend Workshops, please select and attend a Workshop that you can leverage in your Agency/Department/Community. This will assist in the NOBLE Branding and may encourage your Agency/Department to support you in attending future NOBLE Conferences/NOBLE Regional Trainings; We have several Workshops either given by and Associate Member and/or Associate Members on a panel

Several Candidates who filed by the April 15, 2018, deadline, have been invited to speak with us between 1610 hours and 1630 hours; Incoming President Bumpers proposed we have a standing Youth Committee to address concerns Nationally, and locally, as well as support the NOBLE Youth agenda Chaired by Rhonda Glover; Region V VP Fred Thomas proposed the Regional Training Conferences now take place in the year the Region VP will be elected; Collegiate Chapter Member clarity to ensure proper membership classification; Associate Member Term to become two (2) years: works well with change in Regional Trainings for AMR visits; ensures continuity with Presidential ascension, and fresh perspectives as policing evolves.

Associate Member position on local Chapter Executive Board
A NOBLE Associate Member Survey is being developed, the purpose is to learn what we need to assist us in moving forward NOBLE; The National Executive Board has demonstrated their commitment and supported all of the proposals we put forth this year, sans the Budget proposal, for which they have offered a solution; Ms. Ashley and Ms. Johnson received training in a computer system that will provide a space for Associate Members to post our information. The information would be vetted, relevant, and prayerfully timely; We developed the local Chapter Associate Member Representative position for the purpose of streamlining information to and from the National Associate Member Representative. In exploring a proposal to make it permanent, we discovered the local Chapters, where operationally applicable, should have an Associate Member representative as a local Chapter Executive Board position, mirroring the National Executive Board.

Proceeds from raffle will be seed monies towards the 2019 Detective Rafaela A. Valdez Memorial Scholarship Award
