3. Conduction of Heart SA node conducts action potential
Stimulates the interatrial bundle
Left and right atria contract “lub” sound
Signal excites AV node
Signal travels down septum
Signal excites Bundle of His
Signal travels through Purkinje fibers
Ventricles contract “dub” sound

4. Blood Flow of Heart
1. Deoxy blood enters right atrium via inferior and superior vena cava
2. Right atrium fills and contracts
3. Blood flows to right ventricle
7. Pulmonary valve closes
5. Right ventricle fills and contracts
6. Blood flows thru pulmonary artery to lungs
4. Tricuspid valve closes

5. Blood Flow of Heart 8. Blood drops off CO2 and picks up O2 in lungs
9. Oxy blood goes thru pulmonary veins to left atrium
10. Left atrium fills with blood and contracts
12. Blood fills left ventricle and contracts
13. Blood travels through aorta to body
14. Aortic valve closes
11. Mitral valve closes
