Estimate Types: Area, Number of Stems, Volume, Biomass, Carbon, Net Growth, Mortality, Removals, Down Woody Material, Area Change
5
129 types of attributes All available inventories vs most recent inventories Population estimate vs ratio estimate (volume/acre etc)
6
All available vs Most Recent
7
Table Setup Context sensitive – read the descriptions
8
Context sensitive – depends on estimate you chose.
Temporal basis - current, previous, accounting + permutations! Context sensitive Accounting – will only be appropriate for growth but may be option to select – it will use previous; if previous not available it will use current
9
Filters? Filter by radio button – plot or condition variables
in the database Counties Ownership – group or specific class or national forest Stand Age Slope Forest type – group and specific Stand Origin Site Class Physiographic Class
10
Tree filters Species – group or specific Diameters
Tree filters will not be used for area, numbers of seedlings, and those carbon component estimates that are not based on tree information.
11
Enter your own filter
12
Ex: you want to filter your table to only include trees that are dominant or co-dominant
Database Variable: CCLCD – crown class code Values: 2=dominant, 3=codominant
13
Maine – volume all live trees on forest land,
filtered for dominant and codominant trees Metadata on page Descriptions of variables involved Citation sql
