Best Practices in Satisfactory Academic Progress

Our Objectives A quick overview of Satisfactory Academic Progress today, how did we get to this point. Opportunity to clarify any concerns or questions you have about SAP on your campus. Rapid City is now Vegas. A discussion of the tuff stuff: maximum time frame, pace, appeals management, coordination with academic partners, communication with students, how does SAP fit in with the big picture on your campus.

Where did we start and where have we landed?
Satisfactory Academic Progress was in multiple sections of the Title IV statute over the years: administrative capability and student eligibility. The Program Integrity final rules (there was no Congressional action involved, only regulatory) placed all of SAP into CFR Negotiated rulemaking was used to compile these regulations, but there was no consensus.
