Are there any Restrictions Associated with These Sites?
YES, there are a few… Fishing Restrictions Catch and release only Eustis Lake No Fishing Brown’s Lake Many of these sites have restrictions associated with them in order to protect human health and/or the environment. For example, fish from Eustis Lake contain PCBs in concentrations that could pose a risk to humans if they eat the fish. For this reason, fishing restrictions have been implemented at this site. All fishing at Eustis Lake is on a “Catch and Release” basis only. Brown’s Lake has undergone a interim removal action which included draining the lake, installing a cap cover over the bottom of the lake, and site restoration, to include the re-stocking of fish. Fishing is currently not allowed at this site until a final remedial action has been completed and monitoring has indicated risks to human health and the environment have been reduced.
