3. 朱棣 朱棣 （1360～1424年） was the forth son of Zhu Yuanzhang.
Zhu Yuanzhang’s oldest son was the heir, but he died at a very young age and his son, Zhu Yunwen became the next heir.
After Zhu Yuanzhang died, his grandson Zhu Yunwen became the new emperor. But Zhu Yuanzhang had 23 other sons, who were Yunwen’s uncles and were very unhappy about their nephew becoming their father’s successor.
In 1399, Zhu Di started to attack Zhu Yunwen and became the new emperor after defeating his nephew.

4. 朱棣
Zhu Di was a good emperor. Ming’s first capital was Nanjing, but he decided it wasn’t safe enough and moved the capital to Beijing. The Forbidden City was built in his time.
From 1405, Zhu Di made Zheng He visit Southeast Asia and Africa and established good relationship between China and more than 30 countries.
