2 Foundational Scriptures
Spiritual Warfare Foundational Scriptures Ephesians 6:12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Ephesians 6:13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

3 Spiritual Warfare 2 Corinthians 10:4 For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, 2 Corinthians 10:5 casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ

4 Spiritual Warfare Introduction To Power 1 Corinthians 10:13
No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.

5 Spiritual Warfare There was a line that Flip Wilson use to say, line was, “The devil made me do it.” The audience roared. Why did people laugh so hard? Was it because they wanted it to be true?   Did they want to absolve themselves of responsibility for their actions by pointing to an outside force “I never had money when I was growing up, so now as soon as my paycheck comes, it’s gone.”

6 Spiritual Warfare It’s always easy to blame someone else or outside forces for our actions. We hear people all the time who tell us, “My father never said a kind word to me.” “My cousin abused me.” “People in our neighborhood shunned me because I was poor or my family was poor..”

7 Spiritual Warfare We use past short-comings to justify current actions! WOW! This called the blame game, and we play it all the time. As long as we do this we will never seek change in our lives.

8 Spiritual Warfare As soon as well recognize it we have to point to the way out, there has to be a way out of this. I am not suppose to live like this the rest of my life. Gresham truth – if you have the power to recognize it – you have to power to change it.

9 Spiritual Warfare As yourself where does this behavior exist?
Begin to tell yourself that you can change, when I take ownership of my behavior. There is an escape from this! Say that to yourself, again and again. The scriptures tell me that there will always be a way of escape.

10 Spiritual Warfare Chase this verse
2 Corinthians 2:14 Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ… I like the KJV better on this one 2 Corinthians 2:14 Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ… Chase this verse

11 Spiritual Warfare Say this with me “ I will win, if I use God help and God’s guidance.”

12 Stop Using other people as our excuse
Spiritual Warfare Stop Using other people as our excuse We can’t use them as an excuse to stay in bondage. Christ came to set us free. In the opening verse, Paul makes it clear that all of us have our own set of temptations, and for each of us, the circumstances may be different. But the promise God gives is the certainty of a way to escape, regardless of our circumstances.

13 Spiritual Warfare The escape is provided, but we must make use of it.
Begin to listen to the spirit – and you will hear Him tell you “get out .“ A few days ago there was a woman who was caught in the fire – the firemen broke in and told her come on, but she stood there screamin!

14 Spiritual Warfare Stop screaming get out! God will always send someone to help you with your dilemma! Pray Lord, help me take my exit when I get to it.
