1 The Jesus Approach: Making the Most of What is Left Pastor Israel Velasco Psalm 90:12

2 No one lives on this earth forever.

3 Therefore I will give him a portion among the great, and he will divide the spoils with the strong, because he poured out his life unto death, and was numbered with the transgressors. For he bore the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors Isaiah 53:12

4 Then the leaders tried to arrest him; but no one laid a hand on him, because his time had not yet come.     John 7:30

5 Jesus lived with a purpose to fulfill His purpose!

7 The end is near.

8 “LORD, remind me how brief my time on earth will be

9 Making the most of what is left.

10 We all have a desire to make the most of this life before it ends.

11 15 So be careful how you live
15 So be careful how you live. Don’t live like fools, but like those who are wise. 16 Make the most of every opportunity in these evil days. 17 Don’t act thoughtlessly, but understand what the Lord wants you to do.    Ephesians 5:15-16

12 What am I making the most of?

13 How do we know what to make the most of, if we don’t know what to make the most of?

14 We will never be able to make the most of life until we discover what we value most in life.

15 21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also
21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.    Matthew 6:21

16 What do you value most?

17 Not everything we pursue is of value to us.

18 Choosing and understanding valuable in our lives is unnatural.

19 Sin.

20 15 I do not understand what I do
15 I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do, I do not do, but what I hate I do   Romans 7:15

21 The things we pursue most can get in the way of what we value most.

22 4 key people scheduled to speak about your life:

23 1st Person Someone from your immediate or extended family

24 2nd Person Someone from your circle of close friends.

25 3rd Person Someone from your profession, work, or organization.

26 4th Person Someone from your church

27 The result: You will create guardrails and boundaries that will help you make the most of life.

28 29 But let me say this, dear brothers and sisters: The time that remains is very short. So from now on, those with wives should not focus only on their marriage. 30 Those who weep or who rejoice or who buy things should

29 not be absorbed by their weeping or their joy or their possessions
not be absorbed by their weeping or their joy or their possessions. 31 Those who use the things of the world should not become attached to them. For this world as we know it will soon pass away   Corinthians 7:29-31

30 “The bad news is time flies, the good news is you’re the pilot
“The bad news is time flies, the good news is you’re the pilot.” – Pastor David

31 What are you making the most of, the valuable or invaluable?
