3. BACKGROUND Video conferencing can be used to transmit the screen of a laptop computer to the other participants at the far end connection. It is useful for powerpoint presentations, software demonstrations, images, client sign off etc. It is referred to as a PC connection, content sharing or H239.

4. What can be shown or used? PC or Macs can be used – laptops preferred. VGA / desktop monitor style connection is required. Powerpoint, Word, Excel, any software can be used. The screen from your PC will be shown on- screen at the other locations.

5. Keep it simple Your screen will be shown at 800 x 600. Use this display setting when making your presentation. Use large, clear fonts as it will be shown on a TV screen not a computer monitor Avoid loud, solid blocks of colour, keep it crisp and subtle.

7. What might go wrong? Keep the content in from the edges, somtimes they get cropped by the TV screen. If using a scan convertor, hit F8 on the keyboard once the equipment is connected. This will tell the computer you have connected a second screen. Make sure you have a VGA connection. Make sure you have the AC power supply and charged batteries.
