What is a Diploma Type? Identifies the type of Diploma the student is expected to receive i.e. Washington State Graduation Requirements Can add additional Diploma Types for College bound, Vocational bound, or Personalized Pathways

Benefit of having multiple Diploma Types?
For each Diploma Type, a Grad Year can only be used once The entire Grad Year must be assigned to the same set of Graduation Requirements when there is only one Diploma Type With multiple Diploma Types Students from the same Grad Year can belong to different Graduation Plans

Personalized Pathway Requirement
Locally determined Courses that lead to a specific post high school career outcome chosen by the student Based on the student’s interests and High School & Beyond Plan Part of the State Board of Educations 24-Credit Graduation Requirements

Personalized Pathway Requirement
Students must choose a Personalized Pathway and earn: 3 credits in courses related to their selected Pathway OR 1 additional Arts credit and 2 World Language credits

24-Credit Career and College Ready Graduation Requirements
In 2014 the Washington Legislature directed the SBE to adopt rules to implement the Career and College-Ready Graduation Requirements Credits must align with the student‘s High School and Beyond Plan Begins with the Class of 2019 78 districts applied for a 1 or 2 year waiver See the WA State Board of Education website for more information and resources
