Huntsville City Schools 2014 Summer Feeding Program

The Huntsville City School District sponsored our first Summer Feeding Program in the Summer of 2013.

Huntsville City was the only school district in Alabama to provide 3 free hot meals a day to all children ages 18 and under.

Huntsville City School District served 98,455 students during the Summer of We served 3 times as many hot meals as the entire state of Alabama combined!

Chapman Elementary Breakfast 7:30-8: Lunch 11:00-1:00 James Dawson Elementary Breakfast 7:30-8: Lunch 11:00-1:00 Johnson High School Breakfast 8:30-9: Lunch 11:00-1:00 Providence Elementary Breakfast 7:30-8: Lunch 11:00-1:00 Ridgecrest Elementary Breakfast 7:30-8: Lunch 11:00-1:00 Williams Elementary Breakfast 7:30-8: Lunch 11:00-1:00

Schools Participating in the “Extended Learning Program”
These schools will not be open as Summer Feed Sites: Butler High Lakewood Elementary McDonnell Elementary Rolling Hills Elementary University Place Elementary

The city of Huntsville has agreed to provide free public transportation to children who want to participate in the Summer Feeding Program but have no transportation. Passes will be available at all Summer Feeding Schools.
