2. Love is a definitive part of the essence of God
Love is a definitive part of the essence of God. (1 John 4:7-8) We tend to confuse the word love with emotion. This is because humans cannot separate their emotions from the exercise of the will. God does not have this difficulty.
Like every other aspect of his essence, His love exists on an infinite scale. Paul’s attempt to define the boundaries of the love of God simply serves to convince us that there are no boundaries. (Eph. 3:14-19)

3. God’s love exists and is exercised independent of man, the status of man as a sinner, and the powerlessness of man to respond to God’s love without God help. (Rom. 5:8; Tit. 3:4-7; 1 John 4:19)

7. The Implications of God’s Love
Every person have been loved.
Every person who perishes in sin ultimately goes to hell over the objections of the love of God.
The suffering in our world in no way minimizes or contradicts the reality of God’s love.
Believers can rest securely in the reality of the love of God. (1 John 4:17-19)
