The teacher models the strategies for effective reading. The student follows along on the computer while the book is read. The student is actively engaged in the learning process of becoming a better reader.

This assignment will be completed during the Work Time. It will help the teacher know what level the student is currently at. It will help determine what level the student should be in during Time to Read (Independent Reading). It is kind of like a little “quiz.”
