You will study the poem, conducting research if necessary, in order to analyze the poem. You must document your sources if you conduct research. You will write a word analysis of the poem that focuses on the various poetic devices discussed in class. Your analysis must be typed and formatted appropriately (including the documenting of sources). You should include the poem at the beginning of your paper (not included in the word count). You will submit this analysis electronically by . Analyze the Poem Why did you choose this poem? Why do you like this poem? How is this poem unique? What about this poem caught your attention? Break down the structure of the poem. What are the structural elements employed in the poem? What is unique about the structure of the poem? What does the poem mean?
