Drawing a perpendicular bisector – Step 1
Identify the line segment.

Drawing a perpendicular bisector – Step 2
Place the compass point on one end of the line segment. Adjust the compass to just over ½ the length of the line segment.

Two arcs using the same compass setting.

Do the same thing after placing the compass point on the opposite end of the line segment.
