My Background My name is Daniel M. Wood I have a background in Sales, Marketing, Psychology and Sports. With this background I have learned a lot about the human psyche and what is required of us to produce top results. About three years ago I become very interested in Time Management, since I realized that our most important resource is our time. I studied multiple philosophies and found that the best results were achieved when combining certain techniques into a system. I started teaching these techniques to my students, who also noticed a quick improvement. This lead me to create the Time Management Expert System. If you want to know more about me, and read my articles, you can visit my blog http://lookingtobusiness.com where I share advice on goal setting, personal development, and of course time management.http://lookingtobusiness.com

Why is Time Management Important? 1.You produce better results 2.You get more time off 3.You become more valuable to your employer 4.You get paid more 5.You have time to think long term 6.You arent as stressed 7.You are happier

What is Time Management? Setting up a system to manage your time so that you can be as efficient as possible. We want to run a quick Poll, please take a minute to answer it.

Stress and the Problems it Causes The general reaction to a stressful situation, for example getting attacked is; Alarm, Resistance followed by exhaustion.

Stress and the Problems it Causes The stress hormones released into your body have the side effect that they weaken the bodies immune system, which is why when you are stressed over a long time you are more prone to become ill.

Stress and the Problems it Causes Long term stress can cause severe damage to the linings of the arteries and because of your reduced metabolism, a side-effect of the stress hormones, it can contribute the fatty blockages in the arteries that cause heart attacks and strokes.

Stress and the Problems it Causes Because of your weakened immune system you are more likely to get colds, other infections and diseases such as cancer, heart disease, diabetes and even sudden death.

Stress and the Problems it Causes Stress causes you to age faster Aging has been found to be linked to our chromosomes. In our chromosomes there is something called a telomere, every time the chromosome divides (e.g. creates a new cell) the telomere grows shorter.

Stress and the Problems it Causes Fortunately the body has an enzyme we call telomerase that helps counter telomere shortening, this enzyme can in affect slow the aging process.

Stress and the Problems it Causes When we are stressed our body produces less telomerase which causes us to age faster.

Stress and the Problems it Causes Mental Dangers of Stress Stress can have severe psychological effects such as depression, anxiety and unhappiness. People who have lived through highly stressful events, such as the loss of a family member are at high risk to develop the above mentioned diseases as are those who have lived with stress for a long period of time.

Procrastination Why do we procrastinate? The difficulty of starting vs. The benefit of completing What habits help change it?

What You Can Do With More Time Find time for all aspects of your life Produce better results in school and at work Wasted seconds, minutes, hours, days, weeks, months, years, decades – a wasted Life? Time Management skills give you the time to be spontaneous Feel calmer, more relaxed and more at peace How we use our time decides if we will be widely successful or unsuccessful. Time is the only real currency

Time Management Techniques to Make You More Efficient 1.How to Make a Weekly Plan Write down all the tasks you do in a week Assign estimated times for how long each task takes Create 7 sub lists one for each day of the week All the tasks that need to be done a specific day/time add them to that list Go through the rest of the tasks on your list and start portioning them out to the specific days Go through your daily plans and try to batch tasks and create continuity Balance your days so that the tasks assigned will take a reasonable amount of time to complete

Time Management Techniques to Make You More Efficient 2. The ABC Method – Organizing Your Days A – Tasks with severe long-term consequences.
