5 Both sides (French and British) will begin setting up forts, to keep each other out.
French take over a British fort, they don’t like that British sends a militia lead by George Washington to get rid of them. Too many French and Native allies send him and his militia back to VA

6 Attempt to establish a Union
Without help from the Natives The British want to establish a Union (or try) ‘Adapt Benjamin Franklin’s Albany Plan of Union for a united government’ Colonies would have to give up some power None were willing to band together French and Indian War breaks out

7 French and Indian War Also known as the Seven Year’s War
Small battles at forts lead to the War Looks bad for the British Prime Minister William Pitt, brings in finances and military experience Things turn around with multiple victories Fall of Quebec and Montreal mark the defeat of France

8 Treaty of Paris 1763 Treaty between France and their allies with England Marks the end of the war France gave up all their territory to Great Britain Spain gives up Florida in return for present day Louisiana
