Fig 1 Comparison of solid waste and greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions between mediastinoscopy (MED) and endobronchial ultransonography (EBUS). Total solid waste generation for MED was 1.8 kg and for EBUS–TBNA it was 0.5 kg; GHG emissions for MED were 2.3 kg of CO2E and for EBUS–transbronchial needle aspiration (TBNA) they were 0.6 kg of carbon dioxide equivalent (CO2E).
