2 Noun is the name of person, place or thing.
Definition (1) Noun is the name of person, place or thing. She is a Doctor. Doctor is a person. So the word Doctor is a Noun It is sea shore. Sea Shore is a place. So the word Sea Shore is a Noun It is Computer. Computer is a thing. So the word Computer is a Noun

3 All the Naming words are called Noun.
Definition (2) All the Naming words are called Noun. With the help of a Noun we can address or call to any thing or any person. He is Computer Engineer. With the word ‘Computer Engineer’ we can call him. So the word ‘Computer Engineer’ is a Noun. It is an Airplane. With the word ‘Airplane’ we can address it. So the word ‘Airplane’ is a Noun. Joy is making her to jump.. With the word ‘Joy’ we can address to her emotion. So the word ‘Joy’ is a Noun.

4 All things that we can See, Touch or Feel are called Noun.
Definition (3) All things that we can See, Touch or Feel are called Noun. It is a bicycle. We can touch this ‘bicycle’. So the word ‘Bicycle’ is a Noun. It is a Mountain. We can see this ‘Mountain’. So the word ‘Mountain’ is a Noun. Speed of air is very high. This man can feel the speed of ‘Air’. So the word ‘Air’ is a Noun.

6 Proper Noun It is the name of some particular person or place.
Tajmahal Alexander The Great Everest Ramesh Proper means one’s own. It is a person’s or thing’s own name. Proper name can not be duplicated.

7 Common Noun A name given in common to every person or thing of the same class or kind. Girl Telephone Bus Teacher Common means shared by all. Common noun can be duplicated.

8 Abstract Noun The name of quality, action, or state considered apart from the object to which it belongs. Fear Anger Joy Suspicion Name of a thing which is not visible physically. We can only feel or experience them by our senses.

9 Collective Noun A collection of persons or things taken together and spoken of as one whole. Crowd When a group is taken as a singular identity then it is called Collective Noun.

13 Forms of Noun 2 – Gender (Masculine)
A Noun that denotes a male animal or objects remarkable for strength or violence. Boy Priest The Sun Sports Man

14 Forms of Noun 2 – Gender (Feminine)
A noun that denotes a female animal or objects remarkable for beauty, gracefulness and gentleness. Girl Woman The Moon Hen

15 A Noun that denotes a thing that is neither male or female.
Forms of Noun 2 – Gender (Neuter) A Noun that denotes a thing that is neither male or female. Book Pen Home Tree Neuter gender is a thing without life. In other words it is Sexless.

16 A noun that denotes either male or female.
Forms of Noun 2 – Gender (Common) A noun that denotes either male or female. Friend Child can be a male or female Parent Parent can be Mother or Father Student Child can be a male or female Child Child can be a male or female A noun by which both the sexes can be referred or addressed.

Forms of Noun 3 – Case (Nominative) A noun used as the subject of the verb. subject Object Teacher Teacher is teaching the students. Here the Noun TEACHER is used at the place of SUBJECT. So it is Subjective Case. Students Nominative Case is also known as Subjective Case.

Forms of Noun 3 – Case (Accusative) A Noun used as the object of verb. Teacher Object subject ? Student is asking some question from the TEACHER. Here the Noun TEACHER is used at the place of OBJECT. So it is Objective Case. Student Accusative Case is also known as Objective Case.

Forms of Noun 3 – Case (Genitive) A form of Noun showing the ownership. These are Teacher’s Books Here the Noun TEACHER is used in a form (with Apostrophe S)so as to show the possession of Books. So it is Possessive Case. Genitive Case is also known as Possessive Case.

20 A noun that can be counted.
Forms of Noun 4 – Countable A noun that can be counted. There are three Girls. There is one Girl. Here you can count these girls as one or more the one. So Girl is a countable Noun.

21 A noun that can not be counted.
Forms of Noun 4 – Uncountable A noun that can not be counted. This is rice. This is Milk Here you can’t say one milk or two milks. But you can say There is some milk in the bottle. So it is Uncountable Noun. Here you can’t say one rice or two rices. But you can say There is some rice in the bowl. So it is Uncountable Noun.
