Valence Electrons Def: the electrons in an atom’s outermost orbitals (usually the highest principal energy level) Write the noble-gas configurations for: Sulfur Cesium Francium The “leftover” electrons IN THE HIGHEST PRINCIPAL ENERGY LEVEL are the valence electrons!!!
