1. Welcome to CVENT on-line workshop registration
Welcome to CVENT on-line workshop registration. If you have never registered for any HRS workshops, you’re in the right place. If you HAVE registered in the past, please close this presentation and view the video labeled “returning workshop participants”.
Registering for workshop for the first time is reasonably straight forward. We’ll start simply by clicking <click> ‘Register Now”

2. Since you never registered before, the system needs a bit of basic information <click>, <click>, <click> like your name and address… then just <click> click “next”

3. Here, you’ll simply need to add your Stony Brook ID number, phone number and supervisors address. Your supervisors address is required only because some courses require supervisor approval, and this makes it much easier and quicker to obtain that approval <click>…. When you’ve finished – click “next” and you’ll be presented with a listing of all available workshops

4. Workshops will be presented in either of two ways
Workshops will be presented in either of two ways. For those workshops that are being offered on multiple dates, you will find a pull down list <click> of the available dates. Helpful information included, in addition to the date and time of the workshop, is its current availability status; this will show number of seats available, waitlist, or full, if you are already signed up for that session, the selection will be to “unregister”.
Workshops that have only one date available can be selected with a simple check box <click>. Again, information about workshop status will be displayed.
Once you’ve selected all of the workshop sessions you want to register for, simply scroll to the bottom of the page <next>

5. And click Next. <click>

6. You will be given the opportunity to review your selections, then simply click FINISH <click>

7. The working screen will display for a few seconds while the system does it’s thing

8. Then you will see a quick summary of the course(s) you just signed up for. In many cases these will display simply as Human Resource Services Workshops. In order to get more details <click> select “my class agenda” to see all of the workshops you are registered for

9. On this screen you will see the workshop title, date, and description
On this screen you will see the workshop title, date, and description. If everything looks good, you can just close the browser window and you’re done.
You will receive an automated confirmation from CVENT. Be sure to flag this since it will contain a confirmation number that will act as your “CVENT Login number” for future course registrations – then a few days before the workshop you will receive a reminder from the training coordinator.
