Definitions – Then and Now
Job -- Something unseemly, or demeaning, e.g. dirty work, underpaid work, criminal work ‘A piece of work done for hire or profit.’ Can still have negative connotations e.g. ‘just a job.’ Career ‘Rapid and unrestrained activity’. ? ? Profession A public declaration of beliefs ? Vocation A ‘calling’
