1. Traffic Impact Study for Downtown Camden

The proposed real world project is supported by Cooper’s Ferry Partnership
The goal of this project is to analyze the potential traffic impacts of proposed projects in the downtown Camden area.
Project tasks include: model development in micro simulation software, field data collection, model calibration and analyses of proposed alternatives.
GIS, Synchro, SimTraffic, and VISSIM software will be used.

2. Hard Shoulder Running & ITS Enhancements on I-76
Dr. Sam Hammond & Dr. Parth Bhavsar ( Need 2 CEEs & 1 ECE)
This project is sponsored by the Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission
Project will examine the operations of a 14 mile stretch of I-76 from the Pennsylvania Turnpike to the US 1 interchange
Iterative testing of ITS strategies in complement with hard shoulders will be undertaken
Traffic analyses employing VISSIM models will be evaluated in depth to determine the levels of benefit associated with the proposed improvements
2 CEEs with VISSIM background and 1 ECE with programming background needed
