4. Dialectical approach—Psychological issues in this text are presented in true dialectical fashion—with two distinct sides. Students are asked to familiarize themselves with both sides of an issue, look at the supporting evidence on both sides, and engage in constructive conversation about possible resolutions….Requires students to take an active role in making sense of an issue. **This results in a “spread it around” or cooperative learning approach.
