POISON MELODY
A fun game - teacher vs. students.
Put up a score box on your board where you project the slides.
Students have to remember the poison melody. Help them by pointing it out and playing it, describing it, etc.
Game starts with a blank slide. Students play it - you decide your procedure. Do they say it through first or just play it?
WHEN the poison melody reappears, they have to avoid it like poison! If they play, the teacher gets the point. You will likely need to discuss manners and avoiding pointing and hassling the kids who play at the wrong time. Sportsmanship is part of the game! I give points to myself when the kids are ugly to each other.
There are 5 points total in this game, so there will be no tie.
Encourage them to win!
