The rural and urban divide
For the following exercise you will need to place yourselves on a continuum from in response to the following questions; 1 is very urban and 10 is very rural. 1. When away from school how rural is the place you live? 2. Where is the best place to live urban or rural? 3. The places with the most advantages is? 4. The place with the most disadvantages is? 5. Who do you believe has the best level of wellbeing? In your workbook create a table which lists all the advantages and disadvantages you can think of for both urban and rural areas.

How important is the internet?
How important is the internet to you? Do people in rural areas have less access to the internet and is this important?

Prep Please read pages in your textbook and then answer the following questions: 1. Is there anything you would add to you table of advantages and disadvantages for either urban or rural areas? 2. Why do you think you did not identify these during the session? 3. Should the measurement of wellbeing be differentiated between urban and rural areas? Explain your response.
