The Chinese economic reform refers to the program of economic reforms called “Socialism with Chinese characteristics (What is this?)” proposed by 邓小平 (Deng Xiaoping);
It started from 1978 and is an ongoing process; the planned economy now changes to market economy;
Some people argue China has become a capitalistic country, but the Communism Party insists it’s still socialism;
No matter socialism or capitalism, the reform has been extremely successful so far. (Deng Xiaoping said: “no matter 黑猫还是白猫, as long as it can catch rats, it’s a good cat”).
