1. Things that are Precious:
The apostle Peter writes often about things that are precious. He helps us appreciate the value of proven faith, the blood of Christ, Christ as our foundation and cornerstone, and our fellowship together in service to the Lord. Each of these these things is one of the “precious promises” that enables us to become partakers of the Divine nature.

Freedom from sin, purchased with the blood of Christ (1 Peter 1:18-19)
A Firm Foundation for our service to God (2 Peter 2:4-7; Eph. 2:20-22)
Fellowship in faith (2 Peter 1:1)

3. God has “given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.” (2 Peter 1:4)
