These word endings are to be covered in Year 1 term 2.

2. ………ll pu ll ll wi ll ll
The children say ‘pu’ then say ‘ll’ then put the two together and say ‘pull’. The blends then come together as one word.
Repeat for ‘will’.
NOTE: This presentation could be used as a template for other lessons if you wish. You would need to ‘highlighted’ the blends and words and change them for your own.

3. ………ll pi ll ll fi ll ll
The children say ‘pi’ then say ‘ll’ then put the two together and say ‘pill’. The blends then come together as one word.
Repeat for ‘fill’.

4. ………ss mi ss ss ki ss ss
The children say ‘mi’ then say ‘ss’ then put the two together and say ‘miss’. The blends then come together as one word.
Repeat for ‘kiss’.

5. ………ss hi ss ss lo ss ss
The children say ‘hi’ then say ‘ss’ then put the two together and say ‘hiss’. The blends then come together as one word.
Repeat for ‘loss’.

The children say ‘ba’ then say ‘ck’ then put the two together and say ‘back’. The blends then come together as one word.
