2 Prejudice (Noun/Verb)
* an irrational hatred of a person, group, or race based upon a preconceived opinion or judgment * The prejudice that the girl felt from what she was wearing was rude and aggravating. Synonyms: preconceived idea, prejudgment Antonyms: fairness, approval

3 Stereotype (noun) * a generalization of a person; a person who is regarded, not as an individual, but as a member of a group or nationality. *The stereotype that all women love shopping isn’t always true. Synonyms: pattern, mold Antonyms: difference

4 Scapegoat (Noun) * an innocent person, group, or race who is blamed for the general problems of society and punished harshly for them *Even though Jim did not steal your wallet, you are still using him as a scapegoat to cover for your son’s thievery! Synonyms: fall guy, victim

5 Genocide (NOUN) * the killing of (or the intent to kill) an entire national or ethnic group. * As a result of genocide in the small nation, thousands of children have now become homeless orphans. Synonyms: mass murder, holocaust Antonyms: build, create

6 Propaganda (Noun) * literature or media designed to influence your thinking or your opinions * The propaganda at the baseball game made everyone want to buy an iced, cold Coke. Synonyms: hype, promotion, “brainwashing” Antonyms: truth

*The Holocaust is known as the one of largest devastations on our history. Synonyms: devastation, carnage, catastrophe

*The Jewish people met in the synagogue on Saturdays for worship. Synonyms: temple, chapel, house of worship

9 Cabbala (Noun) *a system of mystical interpretations of the scriptures (to penetrate sacred mysteries and foretell the future) *Young Elie learned about the cabbala from Moishe the Beadle and was thankful for his leadership. Synonyms: book of Jewish magic
