My role as the intervention counselor on campus is to promote academic success for all students.
Student study step team meetings
6-year Plan - Jr High and High School Success
Counsel with all students who are below a 2.0 – 7th grade power lunch

3. Social-Personal
Counsel with all students who have concerns/issues confidentially – healthy coping skills
Conflict resolution with peers
Any student who is struggling emotionally I'm here to initiate our outside resources: Chino Human Services Counseling and CVUSD Department of behavioral health counseling Medi-Cal
Offer Family resources – hope family resource centers, city of chino

4. Study Skills Checklist
Keep a daily “to do” list – Agenda
Set a regular time and place to study each day and throughout the week
No electronics when studying
Prepare for tests during your regular study times instead of cramming at the last minute.
Pay close attention in class and take good notes in class
Do your reading assignments before the material is discussed in class.
