1 Project # Energy-Efficient Computing Devices for IoT REU student: Joseph Tobon Graduate mentors: Juan Escobedo Contreras and Stephen Williams Faculty mentor(s): Professor Mingjie Lin Week 3 (May 28 – June 04, 2018) Accomplishments: Continued to finalize major FPGA IoT project. Researched different ways of using an FPGA to interface between an Amazon Alexa and various other devices it was not designed to interface with. Near completion of pong game on Basys3 board using Verilog. Problem & Solutions Could not meet with graduate or faculty mentor this week. Plans for next week: Meet with faculty and graduate mentor. Complete pong game. Complete more gaming projects on Basys3 board. Continue FPGA IoT project with Amazon Alexa. NSF REU Research Experience on Internet of Things 2018
