And when he says: Guide us to the Straight Path, the Path of those whom you have favoured, not of those upon whom is Your anger, nor of those who are astray He says: This is for My servant, and My servant shall have what he has asked for." 14. Placed at the beginning of the Qur’an this Surah is actually a prayer. Allah asks man to read the Quran with the aim of finding out ‘the straight path’ and true guidance. This Surah is thus man’s prayer and the rest of the Quran is Allah’s response showing man the straight path which will bring his success in both this life and the next life.
