2. I am going on an excursion to Melbourne Zoo.
The zoo can be a fun place, with a lot of amazing things to discover.

4. I might have to wait outside the wall before I go in.
I can stand in line before entering the zoo.
That’s okay because I might talk to my friends, look at the passing trains and trams, and people around me.

5. My teacher might go through a different gate, but I can stay with my class and adult helpers until I am told to enter.

6. If I bring a bag I can leave it at a pavilion, so that I don’t have to carry it all day.
It will be safe there.

We might be moving around the zoo as a group.
I can follow my teacher and try to stay with the group.

8. There are lots of toilets around the zoo, they look different.
If I need to go to the toilet, I can tell my teacher and they will take me.

9. I might eat with my class.
My teacher might tell me when it is time to eat and when is a good time to get my food.

10. Many people visit the zoo and many people work there too.
If I get lost, I can ask people wearing uniforms that say ‘Zoos Victoria’ for help.
They might be wearing light- brown, dark-blue or dark- green.
They might use a radio to talk to other people to help me.

After we have done all the things that our teacher has planned, we might go to collect our bags.
