1 MEGAFAUNA...: First, a few “rules”…
All lived during the “Pleistocene Era” (1.8 million to about 11,700 years ago.) Must weigh at least lbs and some weighed as much as 44,000 lbs!

4 2. Megalania! --- Would hide by water sources and rip prey apart with razor fangs… (Including humans!)

5 3. Megaloceros (Irish Elk) Fun fact? Actually neither Irish nor Elk!

6 4. Wooly Mammoth

7 Because of this found baby and its DNA, scientists believe they could bring the mammoth back to life!

8 5. Not the only Wooly! Used their horns to root through snow for greens and flowers underneath!

9 6 & 7. Giant Beaver and Bear! I’m from Oregon!

10 8. Wonambi- 20-30 foot giant snake… Need I say more?

Inference? It could sit back and rip flesh and limbs apart…

13 -Fangs 8-12 inches long! -Most common enemy= Dire Wolf -Liked to drop down on prey from above… WATCH OUT!

Shelled Megafauna! Crazy large, but actually quite docile…

15 13. Last of the Gentle Giants..
Megatherium a.k.a. Giant Ground Sloth Modern Day Adorable Long tongue to grab leaves with Curved claws to peel bark Walked upright!
