2 Procurment Procurement is the complete process of obtaining materials, services and construction from preparation and processing of a requisition through to receipt and approval of the invoice for payment.

4 Steps in the Procurement Cycle
Identify the Requirement – The user identifies a need, specifies the requirement and creates the requisition. Sourcing – Before a Purchase Order/Contract is issued, the right supplier for this type of purchase needs to be identified. Ordering – Once sourcing has been determined and processed, a purchase order must be created and sent to the supplier.

5 Cont…. Receiving and Accepting Materials and Services – This is a key function. No payment should subsequently be made unless the materials/services received match the purchase order details. Receiving the Invoice and making Payment – Payment should be made in a timely manner upon receipt of the invoice. Post Contract Control – Large contracts in particular need to be managed against the terms agreed with the supplier/contractor.

·         Partially hydrogenated edible vegetable oils. ·         Invert syrup ·         Leavening agents (503 Baking powder) ·         Milk solids ·         Salt ·         Emulsifiers (E 322 or E 471 or E 481) ·         Dough conditioners (E 223) and contains added flavors.

8 PROCESS LAYOUT OF PARLE PRODUCTS LTD.
First of all the parle products buys RAW MATERIAL from the various suppliers and stored into the store room. raw material is then sent to laboratory for testing and after testing only it is used for manufacturing. Such a mixture of raw material is taken and mixed into STEPHAN MIXTURE, which is high power mixture machine.

9 Cont…… From rotary molder the dough is passed through a 260 feet long OVEN which is approximately 340* c. In oven there are three stages to be followed        ·         Removal of moisture. ·         Building the structure of biscuits. ·         Colorings of biscuits take place.
