What it is and why is it important ?
Data Visualisation What it is and why is it important ? “Presentation of data in a pictorial or graphical format” “Because of the way the human brain processes information” Data visualisation is a quick and easy way to convey complex concepts in a universal format Data visualisation can: Present data in a easy to understand graphical format Help highlight exceptions and trends in energy data Help identify and influence behaviour Highlight areas that need attention or improvements Enable decision makers to grasp difficult concepts visually A picture is worth a thousand words – especially when you’re trying to understand your data To fully take advantage of visual analytics, organisations need to analyse detailed data very quickly and display the information in a meaningful way; only than can you expect organisations to respond to issues more rapidly. Once the issue has been identified you also need to be able to dig for more insight into the problem – look at data differently and in more detail.
