6. Preserving Your Digital Image
Think before you post- you not only represent yourself, but your employer and those with whom you associate
Set a google alert or google yourself regularly
Double check your privacy settings, especially if you move into a different geographic region
Remember that once posted on the internet, it’s never really “taken down” and never goes away

Never write something in any electronic format you wouldn’t put in the medico legal document- eg the chart
Employers/institutions now routinely screen applicants and have restrictive digital media policies
