Activator Sit down SILENTLY Take out homework, notebook and packet
On your whiteboard, create a double number line, table and graph for the following scenario: You are baking pies for the school bake sale. For every 1 pie you make, you charge $4. Represent this on a double number line, in the table, and on the graph. Make sure you label your information.

Objective I will be able to create a ratio table, equation, a double number line and a set of ordered pairs from the ratio and graph it on a coordinate plane. So I can understand the relationship between all representations and use this knowledge to solve a real world problem. For example: the amount of website views over a time frame, or to calculate ingredients based upon a recipe. I will demonstrate my understanding by creating all forms of displaying a ratio through the solution of a real world problem with my group, on my exploratory poster with at least 80% accuracy. 6RP3

Language Objective By the end of the lesson, I will be able to use the four language domains of listening, speaking, reading and writing. Through a oral discussion with my groupmates, I will be able to create a ratio table, equation, a double number line and a set of ordered pairs from the ratio and graph it on a coordinate plane. I will communicate and demonstrate my understanding by creating all forms of displaying a ratio through the solution of a real world problem on my exploratory poster with at least 80% accuracy. Academic math language Vocabulary: Ordered pair, coordinate plane, ratio table, ratio graph

Exploratory Challenge Poster
Today you will be working in your group to solve a real world problem. You will display the ratio in its different formats: table, equation, double number line, ordered pairs, and graph. You will then participate in a gallery walk.
