Today I will: Explain what ordered pairs are. Plot ordered pairs on a plane. So that we can describe the letter associated with the ordered pair, or the ordered pair associated with the letter and be able to plot ordered pairs. I will show I have mastered identifying locations and plotting ordered pairs by identifying at least 12 out of the 16 representations, and plot at least 4 out of the 5 ordered pairs. 6.NS.C.6b and 6.NS.C.6c

4 Language Objective By the end of the lesson, students will be able to use all four language domains of listening, speaking, reading and writing to communicate the academic math language of ordered pair to plot them accurately with the assigned letters. Students will show their understanding by identifying locations and plotting ordered pairs by identifying at least 12 out of the 16 representations, and plot at least 4 out of the 5 ordered pairs. Scenario 1: The seats in a college football stadium are arranged into 210 sections, with 144 seats in each section. Your ticket to the game indicated the location of your seat using the ordered pair of numbers (12, 103). Describe the meaning of each number in the ordered pair and how you would use them to find your seat.
