The keys to any society’s survival is the introduction of new technologies and their constant evolution. In the case of Rome, the constant expansion and survival of the Roman Empire was the result of two instrumental developments: Roman Road systems Aqueduct system

Roman Roads Allowed for the movement of the Roman army from place to place. Also allowed for travel for civilians, and the establishment of trade routes. 90, 000 kms

Roman Aqueducts As the Roman Population grew, so did its need for reliable and safe water. To get water from the “hills” the Romans developed a system of over land transport networks for water.
