7. Global Monitoring for Environment and Security GMES
is jointly funded by the ESA and the Commission
An initiative for the implementation of information services dealing with environment and security
It is based on observation data received from Earth Observation satellites and ground based information

8. Land Monitoring
Fast Track initiative which will be operational by (link to the Jobs and Growth Agenda)
Objective by the end of 2007 have a detailed land use map of 40 cities (mostly Urban Audit cities) and their morphological zones beyond their city boundaries

The book will also be updated and expanded to cover the Turkish cities
