Summer Activities Phase 1
Test and revise the statements of values, mission, vision Finalize the statements of values, mission, vision Phase 2: Develop goals and objectives for each area of strategic focus Develop action plans for each strategic initiative Develop a strategic map that prioritizes and integrates the strategic initiatives, areas of strategic focus, and supporting elements

Design Features for Phase 2
Organize project groups for each set of strategic initatives Expand the number of people who are involved (~ 200 can be included) Make sure that faculty know they are welcome Include enough participants to accommodate individual needs (vacations, etc) Steering Committee’s role is integrative Continue to create documentation that summarizes all work Be mindful that certain topics/questions may require additional engagement Create momentum to quickly execute on high priority, high impact, low cost actions
