B, Metabolite of bisacodyl, bisacodyl diphenol, was detected in urine of both patients who were taking bisacodyl surreptitiously and of seven patients who were given bisacodyl in preparation for colonoscopy. The metabolite has a characteristic spectral pattern that differs from that of the parent compound, bisacodyl.
