6 Levy Endorsement We have three renewal levies that will be on the February 13, 2018, ballot. A two-year Educational Programs and Operations (EP&O) Levy (formerly M&O Levy) in the amount of of $36,300,000 in 2018 for collection in 2019; in the amount of 44,900,000 in 2019 for collection in A one-year School Bus Levy in the amount of $2,000, in 2019. A four-year Capital Levy (with educational technology and critical repairs components in the amount of 26,571,000 in 2019; 16,775,000 in 2020; 17,170,000 in 2021; and 18,000,000 in 2022. In order for our PTSA to advocate for a “yes” vote for these three replacement levies, we need to have an endorsement vote.

7 Nominating Committee Article 5, Section 5 of the WSPTA Uniform Bylaws requires the formation of a Nominating Committee. The Committee shall submit to membership a signed, written report at least 15 days prior to the next BOD election of the name(s) of one or more candidates for each office to be filled. Qualifications for Candidates Committee shall consist of three members elected at a Membership Meeting. Members shall have been members in good standing of a local PTA for at least 30 days preceding their election. No person shall be eligible to serve more than two consecutive terms. Neither the president nor the school principal is eligible to serve.

11 Treasurer’s Report Mid-Year Financial Review completed on January 12, 2017 No issues found Recommend increasing documentation re: on-line log-ins and passwords Thank you to Michelle Cash, Cheryl Furey, and Tracie Kinsley for completing the review Bank statements have been opened and reviewed by a non-signer on the account AIM Insurance renewed and paid on November 17, 2017 No claims filed against insurance in November or December

15 Events Celebration of Cultures Night March 8, 2018, from 6:30-8:30pm
Japanese, Norwegian, Egyptian, Indian … what’s YOUR family heritage? A little creativity, a heart to share your cultural pride, and lots of fun are all it takes to join in for the Celebration of Cultures event. Team up with neighbors or friends to host your own unique cultural booth/display. Share traditions and customs, food, dance, costume, displays, and/or interactive activities/crafts that celebrate the heritage, history, and culture of your family. 18 Parent Education ParentWiser is a parenting lecture series comprised of local and nationally-known experts who are invited to share the latest information in effective parenting with parents of the Issaquah School District. Upcoming Speaker Series events include: Jan. 24th – Angst Film Documentary with Q&A Panel Feb. 7th – Stress on the Rise, Dr. Laura Kastner May 16th – Peaceful Parent, Happy Kids, Dr. Laura Markham May 17th – Peaceful Parent, Happy Siblings, Dr. Laura Markham Attendance at ParentWiser events is free for PTSA Members of Issaquah District schools. 19 Volunteers Upcoming volunteer opportunities:
Staff Appreciation Breakfast – February 7th We will be setting up a yogurt bar for the teachers in the library. Look for an with a list of the donations we will need.    8th Grade Party Chair – June Usually an evening of the last full week of school. Has been 6:00-8:00pm last few years. Responsibilities include: Contact the PCMS staff person overseeing promotion activities and set up a 45-minute meeting review details from previous year and establish awareness of new changes. Create Google Doc for volunteer sign-ups and prize donations. Contact requested restaurant to order catering for the event. Coordinate volunteers for each of the above events.
