Mental Health First Aid
Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) is an evidenced-based program that can help a community improve its access to much needed services. MHFA enhances the health literacy of individuals, families, and the community; reduces discrimination; and increases community connections. Skilled and trained liaisons, known as First Aiders, develop relationships across the community, encouraging and strengthening hopeful and non-threatening approaches to delivering local healthcare. MFP Fellows can enrich their clinical capabilities by enrolling in the MHFA course.
