1 Orbit Response Measurement Update
Jeff Rzepiela 11/23/10

2 Measurements 13.6 GeV, 250 pC LTU Goal: investigate match to model particularly for scanning Ycors before DL2 Lower energy (3.464 and 4.3 GeV) scans for Ycorr 105  393 show poor agreement with model, particularly farther downstream (i.e. scanning correctors before DL2 show poor match for BPMs after DL2)

3 XCOR Measurements XCOR:LTU1:122 XCOR:LTU1:178 XCOR:LTU1:248

4 XCOR Measurements XCOR:LTU1:448 XCOR:LTU1:488 XCOR:LTU1:548

5 XCOR Measurements XCOR:LTU1:718 XCOR:LTU1:738 XCOR:LTU1:758

6 YCOR Measurements YCOR:LTU1:105 YCOR:LTU1:133 YCOR:LTU1:171

7 YCOR Measurements YCOR:LTU1:353 YCOR:LTU1:393 YCOR:LTU1:453

8 YCOR Measurements YCOR:LTU1:611 YCOR:LTU1:657 YCOR:LTU1:727

9 Historical comparison
8/31/10: GeV 12/02/09: 5.8 GeV 11/18/10: 13.6 GeV 9/17/10: 4.3 GeV

10 New BSY low-beta optics (11/16/10)

11 Results Match to model at 13.6 GeV is very good In some cases (e.g. XCOR:LTU1:488, YCOR:LTU1:553, YCOR:LTU1:593) the match is the best that has been observed. No evidence of large discrepancy between measured values and model for Ycorrs before DL2 Need to make additional measurements at lower energy with new BSY optics 1 Ycorr YCOR:LTU1:105 measurement sufficient for comparison (~3 minutes) Additional scans of 8 Ycorrs before DL2  ~20 minutes Procedure written for Ops to make measurement when time is available (11/18/2010, 16:26 physics elog entry)
