Come to class ready to learn EVERYDAY. Be Respectful At ALL Times #BeKind Address every adult with ma’am and sir Keep hands, feet, and objects to yourself Use appropriate language always Do not take anything that doesn’t belong to you.

13 Classroom Procedures How we put up homework….
Homework will be discussed after bell work. Turn in your homework after it is reviewed. How we use the pencil sharpener… You should have sharpened pencils prior to coming to class. If you need to sharpen your pencil, you will need to exchange pencils from the pencil holder. How we turn in late work… Turn in late work as soon as possible. There is a 10 point deduction for each day that an assignment is late.

14 Classroom Procedures How to turn in make up work…
You will have one day to complete missed work for each day that you are absent. How we enter the classroom…. Enter the classroom silently, take your seat, then begin Bellwork. Do not carry on conversations with friends. How we exit the classroom… Gather all of your belongings and clean your area, put your binders back on the shelf, turn in your exit tickets as you leave.

15 Classroom Procedures How turn in our work….
All work will be placed in the tray designated for your class. You will keep all graded work in your interactive notebook. How we talk in class… Three levels….0, 1, and 2 Level 0 – Silent…No Talking Level 1 – Talk softly to your group member Level 2 – Talk in normal tone for discussions Raise your hand to speak…. Use accountable talk when responding… Be Respectful Let everyone have their turn.

17 Grading Policy Homework – 10% Classwork – 35% Class Participation – 5%
Tests – 20% Quizzes – 15% Projects – 15%

18 Homework Policy Homework will be given times a week for math class Homework is late if it is not turned in during class the next day. Points deduction: 5 points if turned in the same day but after class 10 point deduction for each day it is late

20 Tutoring Tutoring is offered to all students every Tuesday from 2:30 – 3:30 in room F219. Signed permission form Sign in and out Must attend if: Make up tests/quizzes Score below 80% on tests/quizzes Low class performance

23 Objective The purpose of Eureka Math is to get you to UNDERSTAND what you are learning and be able to express your learning in through examples, pictures/diagrams, and explanations.

24 What To Expect Fluency drills Bell Work that reflects prior lessons
Homework that reinforces daily lessons Classwork that contains fewer problems that require in depth explanations and answers

25 What To Expect Teacher examples where you MUST take notes and use to complete exercises on your owns or with a peer. Use of accountable talk and academic vocabulary daily.
